Hi there. I’m a writer and editor based in Brooklyn. I work at Le Poisson Rouge and as a freelance writer. Previously I was the editor and co-founder of New York City music guide EardrumNYC.com, which is currently in hibernation.
I have also blogged for art and design center 3rd Ward and contributed to publications including BOMB, Tiny Mix Tapes, the Village Voice, Index Magazine, BushwickBK.com and C-VILLE Weekly, where I served as the newspaper’s first-ever web editor and wrote a weekly music column.
I’ve interviewed a wide variety of fascinating people, from Peter Frampton and Alvin Lucier to Marnie Sternand Rob Sheffield, and written about everything from Tuvan throat singing and chamber music to The Boss and Butthole Surfers.
While attending the University of Virginia I founded Nailgunmedia.com, a central Virginia music blog that continues to highlight the best of region’s music and arts scene.
My additional freelance experience includes writing support for designers, artists and other creative professionals from across the globe, as well as blogging about publications, reputation management and social media.
I’ve also spent time as a college radio DJ, record store clerk, bookseller and plant photographer. Yes, plant photographer.
